PhD-position in Developmental Biology in Freiburg

The research training program Graduiertenkolleg 1104 (From Cells to Organs: Molecular Mechanisms of Organogenesis) is a DFG-funded research program joining developmental biologists in the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Medicine,and the Max-Planck- Institute of Immunobiology in Freiburg with the aim to create an innovative training program for graduate students.

In the Department of Molecular Embryology at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology, we offer a GRK1104-funded PhD position to study the development of blood vessels. The project will include experimental work in chick embryos to study the molecular regulation of the recruitment of smooth muscle cells to the developing aorta. We seek a candidate with a solid background in molecular biology and strong interest in developmental biology. Applications including complete CV, description of
