China’s New fossil discovery might hold clues for extinction of Dinosaurs
The mystery of why giant Dinosaurs suddenly became extinct can find some answers,with the discovery of major fossil field ,unearthing more that 7600 bones from Eastern part of China. Zhucheng in Shandong province is known locally as “dinosaur city” and has been in news for last 50 years for several important findings.But scientists believe this discovery ,which dates back to late Cretaceous period which is around the time when dinosaurs became extinct might helps to understand why why the creatures died out. 
Professor Zhao Xijin, the palaeontologist in charge of the excavations, believes that this group of fossilised dinosaurs is currently the largest ever discovered in the world… in terms of area,with more than 3000 bones were recovered from one pit.The new discoveries include a large hadrosaur, or “duck-billed” dinosaur. Researchers are waiting for winter to pass on and with the arrival of suitable climate to work ,more details can be unearthed and finding s of the study are planned to be published in sometime mid of 2009.The people in charge in Shandong are planning to set up a fossil park in the area. China is already considered to be fossil’s paradise and this latest finding ,adds another feather in the cap.
