Evolve : Eyeing the evolution on History channel

Watch out for this excellent series on History channel called as “EVOLVE” dealing with evolution of eyes. It will be an exciting series to watch on these wonderful organ which are present in 95% of animals on this planet and have evolved numerous times.But still involving few basic genes for its development with PAX genes being a common thread from Jelly fishes to Human beings.

They are one of evolution’s most useful and prevalent inventions. Ninety five percent of living species are equipped with eyes and they exist in many different forms. Learn how the ancestors of jellyfish may have been the first to evolve light-sensitive cells. Discover how dinosaur’s evolved eyes that helped them become successful hunters.
