Opportunity to work with Nematostella and Hydra

Prof. Ulrich Technau from University of Vienna is looking for a senior post doc in Developmental Biology Section. Technau’s lab uses Nematosstella and Hydra as a model system to understand evolution of the mesoderm and the evolution of the two body axes. It will a great opportunity to work with such a nice group exploring development of Cnidarians.

The position is restricted to 6 years. The candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Biology or Bioinformatics and should have extensive research and teaching experience in the field of experimental Cell and Developmental Biology or Bioinformatics (Comparative Genomics). Previous postdoctoral experience of at least one year is desirable. Depending on the qualification of the candidate, the position allows for the establishment of an independent subgroup within the Technau group. The main focus of interest of the Technau group is the Evolution of Developmental Processes and animal body plans using cnidarians as a model system.
